The Spirit of Bern - Energy future Switzerland

What does the situation in Switzerland actually look like? Is it really as worrying as it is being portrayed in some places? What measures have been and are being discussed and which have already been implemented? Where is there still a problem?

The ninth edition of SPIRIT OF BERN will focus on the topic of " Energy Future Switzerland". In the main programme, two sessions will analyse the current status of the energy transition and where we currently stand in the development of renewable energy with hydropower, solar and wind energy. The first session will discuss how Switzerland is dealing with the changed framework conditions and the innovative concepts with which politics and industry are responding to them. In addition, promising research and practical projects will show what contribution the various players can make. Session two will present specific projects in the Canton of Bern, how these are to be implemented and how possible resistance from politicians, associations and the general public is to be resolved through joint dialogue.

We are very excited to welcome Federal Council member Albert Rösti, currently probably the most influential energy politician, to SPIRIT OF BERN for a closing speech.

In the morning, individual topics will be discussed in depth in four breakout sessions.

The SPIRIT OF BERN takes place as usual in the Kursaal Bern and invites you, our valued audience, to engage in dialogue with experts from the worlds of business, science and politics. The entire event will be recorded and will then be available on the Foundation's YouTube channel.
