For 20 years, the "Harry Potter" films have captivated audiences around the world and across generations. The iconic film music composed by John Williams, Patrick Doyle, Nicolas Hooper and Alexander Desplat is a major contributor to this. The famous "Hedwig's Theme", which is now considered the main melody of the film series, can probably be hummed by almost everyone - and gives you goosebumps!
"The Music of Harry Potter - Live in Concert" is a magical evening of a very special kind. It sonorously combines the musical highlights of the "Harry Potter" films and the play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" into a unique experience.
Using state-of-the-art technology, the large ensemble of the Cinema Festival Symphonics, led by renowned conductor Stephen Ellery, will take Harry Potter fans on a musical journey through all 8 "Harry Potter" films. Soloists, chorus and orchestra will celebrate the unique sonic power that fully immerses you in the world of magic and, together with elaborate screen animations and visual effects, provides a rollercoaster of emotions.
Pure goosebumps when "Hedwig's Theme" transports the audience to Hogwarts or the choir performs "Double Trouble".
"The Night Bus" brings a high-spirited atmosphere with the fast-paced ride of the knight bus.
Things get mystical with "Black Lake", when the audience dives with Harry into the Black Lake and the realm of the water people.
Finally, no eye remains dry when Hermione disappears from her parents' lives with "Obliviate" and all of Hogwarts bids farewell to its beloved headmaster during "Dumbledore's Farewell".
This journey into the magical world of Harry Potter does not begin on platform 9 ¾ but right in the concert hall!
