Using state-of-the-art technology, the mighty ensemble of the Cinema Festival Symphonics, led by renowned conductor Stephen Ellery, will take Harry Potter fans on a musical journey through all 8 Harry Potter films. Soloists, choir and orchestra will celebrate a unique sonic force that will completely immerse you in the world of magic and provide many goosebump moments.

Elaborate screen animations and visual effects let the emotions additionally soar to poignant heights.

The Programme

One of the musical highlights is "Double Trouble" from "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban". This main theme by John Williams is performed by a choir on arrival at Hogwarts.

Another main motif of this film block is "Aunt Marge's Waltz", composed for the visit of Harry's Aunt Magda, who is blown up by Harry like a balloon and literally blows up. John Wiliams' composition is correspondingly ironic and witty.

"A Window To The Past" is another highlight. This leitmotif is taken up in the film whenever Harry thinks of his parents. The theme is deliberately kept very emotional.

"The Hogwarts March" is the only march from all the Harry Potter films and must therefore not be missing. This march from "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" is played exclusively by wind instruments and was composed by Patrick Doyle.

In "Harry In Winter" from "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", you immediately notice the strings, which enchant the piece in a very special way and give this film score a very special touch.

The musical leitmotif from "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" is called "Dolores Umbridge", composed by Nicholas Hopper, and is used in the film whenever the character Dolores Umbridge appears. A very beautiful piece in the classical tradition!

Another highlight of this magical concert is the leitmotif "Obliviate" from the film "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". It is used when Hermione uses the Obliviate spell on her parents.
