The famous Morricone style
They're old school friends: Morricone and the famous film director Sergio Leone. In 1964 they began their famous and successful cooperation. Prominent examples of that include the classics: A Fistful of Dollars, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and Once Upon a Time. Morricone's compositions were new and innovative and their unusual sounds were noticed (jew's harp, whistle, shouting, coyotes howling, hooting owls, bells, musical clocks, cracking whips, blows on the anvil etc.)
Some of his works even found their way to the pop charts.
